The Archives is pleased to be working with Wigan Local History & Heritage Society on new opportunities to support the work of the Archives in preserving and making accessible the Borough's rich heritage.
We're looking for new volunteers to get involved at our Wigan Local Studies site (WLS) based at the Museum of Wigan Life, Library Street, and support the work being done at both WLS and the new Archives: Wigan & Leigh facilities at Leigh Town Hall.
We're looking for people to support the cataloguing of collections, indexing of resources, digitisation and research.

Collections Volunteer Role Description
Collections Volunteers (CV) help ensure our collections are well organised and catalogued. They contribute to the success of the Archives by assisting staff to ensure our collections are well documented and accessible to everyone.
